The Cycle: Incipit is a series of ceramic frescoes created from simulations of autonomous AI agents. Given their own personalities, motivations and agency, these artificial beings form societies, develop beliefs and create mythologies of their own. Their stories are translated through generative algorithms and given physical form through ceramic frescoes. The series explores the emergence of artificial cultures, and questions what belief, memory and transmission might mean in a world no longer inhabited by humans alone.
