A series of surrealist artworks created using Mind-to-image
IMAGINE is a series of surrealist artworks created using mind-to-image algorithms. This technology combines AI and neuroscience to create images from MRI scans of the brain. The works question about the future of brain computer interfaces, data privacy and a new era of communication.
For the creation of the works, the artists were asked, while inside the MRI, to imagine a portrait which inspires a given feeling.
This series wrestles with the paradox of technology: its boundless potential to empower, and its latent ability to erode the purity of the soul.
A highly on-chain series with unique mechanics
Each NFT of this limited series holds within it the original research paper, hardcoded into its metadata, as well as a compressed version of the visual stored on chain, created thanks to artistic compression tools developed by Diid. As such, the NFTs are immutable, and their longevity ensured.
The first three NFTs of the series were presented as part of the "Next Wave" auction at Christie's. Obvious plans on releasing other works from this series in the future, and to unveil a unique mechanic linked to the whole digital series.
